B2B verification & onboarding · Shopify
Anmelda checks every B2B application against the real business registries, then creates the native Shopify company for you. The form is table stakes — verification is the difference.
The verification engine
Every submission runs against the official registries — automatically, with retries when they're slow — and the answer is stored as audit proof on the Shopify company.
Confirms the VAT ID is live in VIES and stores the official consultation ID as legal proof of the check.
Company status, registered seat and legal form straight from Zefix, plus a UID format check.
Registration status, incorporation date and officers from Companies House.
How it works
A theme block drops a prebuilt B2B form onto your storefront — no code. English, German, French, Italian.
Checks run automatically against VIES, Zefix and Companies House. Results show as a traffic-light panel.
One click — or let auto-approval rules decide from the verification result and the applicant's country.
Anmelda creates the native Shopify company, assigns the catalog, and unlocks checkout for the buyer.
Everything in one app
Approve automatically when verification passes and the country is on your list. The headline automation.
Real Shopify companies and locations, with catalog assignment by rule — not tag-based workarounds.
A Shopify Function blocks checkout until a buyer is approved. No storefront hacks.
Hide prices and add-to-cart from guests and unapproved visitors until they're verified.
Forms, decision emails and the field library ship in four languages — DACH-ready out of the box.
Approve, reject or request changes with your own templates, and trigger Shopify Flow downstream.
Pricing
Undercuts the alternatives decisively — the verification depth is what you're paying for.
Trust & compliance
Everything runs in AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1). A real answer to the first question every DACH merchant asks.
Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks, a per-shop retention window, and true deletion — not anonymisation.
Theme app blocks, Shopify Functions and least-privilege scopes — built to pass the BFS bar, not bolt onto it.
FAQ
Every application with an EU VAT ID is checked against VIES, the European Commission's official VAT information system. Anmelda confirms the number is registered and active, and stores the official VIES consultation ID with the application — legally recognised proof that you verified the number at the time of the check. If VIES is slow or briefly down, the check retries automatically.
Three official sources: EU VIES for VAT IDs across all EU member states; Zefix, the Swiss central business name index, for company status, registered seat and legal form (plus a UID format check); and UK Companies House for registration status, incorporation date and officers. Checks start automatically the moment an application arrives.
Yes, on the Pro plan. An auto-approval rule approves an application only when every applicable verification check has passed and — if you set a country allowlist — the applicant's country is on it. Applicants that no register covers are never auto-approved; they always wait for your manual review.
Anmelda creates the native Shopify B2B company with a company location built from the business address in the application, and links the applicant as the company's main contact. On Pro it also assigns the right catalog. The buyer gets a decision email and can order at B2B terms; the checkout lock and price hiding lift automatically for them. Provisioning is resume-safe: if a step fails, it picks up where it left off.
No. Anmelda creates B2B companies, locations and contacts on every Shopify plan. The difference is catalogs: assigning catalogs directly to company locations is a Plus feature, so on non-Plus plans Anmelda uses B2B market catalogs with price lists instead (Shopify caps those at 3 active catalogs). Anmelda detects what your plan supports and picks the right strategy automatically.
In the EU — AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1). Anmelda is built GDPR-first: Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks, a per-shop retention window, and true deletion rather than anonymisation. Applicants who never became customers are fully erased once the retention window passes.
Three plans, billed through Shopify (prices in USD): Free — $0, 1 form, 10 applications per month, VIES verification, manual approval. Growth — $19/month, 100 applications, all three registers, checkout lock, custom email templates. Pro — $39/month, unlimited applications, auto-approval rules and catalog assignment.
The form is a prebuilt B2B field library — company details, contact person, business address, VAT number, commercial register number, phone, website, expected volume and a message — deliberately not a generic form builder. In the theme editor you set the heading, intro text and button label, and the form ships in English, German, French and Italian. On paid plans, decision emails use your own templates.
Install Anmelda, publish a form, and let the registries tell you who's real — before you hand over trade pricing.
