Guide · Anmelda
Get started with Anmelda in four short videos
Each step is under 40 seconds and shows the real app inside a Shopify admin. Add one block to your theme; from then on, applicants arrive pre-verified.
Add the application form to your theme
Anmelda ships a theme block called Wholesale application. Add it to any page in the theme editor; heading, intro and button label are editable there and fall back to the shopper's language.
- Theme editor › Add section › Apps › Wholesale application.
- The form appears in the preview at once. Save to publish it.
- Fields: company, country, VAT number, contact, address, optional register number and message.
TipThe Home page of the app has an Add to your theme button that opens the editor on the right template.
Review a verified application
Every application is checked against the business registry for its country before you see it: VIES for EU VAT numbers, Zefix for Switzerland, Companies House for the UK. The list shows the result as a badge.
- Verified: every applicable check passed. Needs review: no check applied or still pending. Check failed: a register said no.
- The detail page shows each check with its result and the timestamp — where VIES returns a consultation number, that is stored too.
- Below it, everything the applicant entered.
From form to company
One block on your storefront, registry checks in the background, your decision, and a native Shopify B2B company at the end. Nothing here is a custom customer tag or a spreadsheet.
Approve and get a native B2B company
Pick the pricing tier and approve. Anmelda creates a real Shopify B2B company with its main location and contact, assigns the catalog on Pro, and emails the applicant your decision.
- The proof is under Customers › Companies: company, contact, location, no manual setup.
- Verification results are stored on the company as metafields, so the audit trail lives in Shopify.
- Reject and Request changes are one click too, and also send the matching email.
Tune the rules
Four independent cards, each with its own Save: auto-approval for fully verified applicants, data retention, a checkout lock for wholesale-only stores, and the three decision-email templates.
- Auto-approval only ever fires when every applicable register check is green.
- Retention deletes applications after a number of days; GDPR expects a deliberate choice here.
- Checkout lock blocks anyone who is not an approved company contact. Do not enable it on a store that also sells retail.

Common questions
Which countries can Anmelda verify?
EU VAT numbers through VIES, Swiss companies through Zefix, UK companies through Companies House. Applicants from other countries are accepted but land in manual review with no checks.
Does approval need Shopify Plus?
No. Company creation works on every plan that has B2B companies. Direct catalog assignment to a company location is a Plus feature; on other plans Anmelda assigns through a B2B market.
What does the applicant receive?
A decision email for approved, rejected or changes requested, in their language, sent from no-reply@gigliotti.software with your shop contact as reply-to. You can override the templates in Settings.
Verify your next wholesale application automatically
Anmelda checks every B2B application against VIES, Zefix and Companies House, then creates the native Shopify company for you.
